Simon’s Ride: Anthony Bainbridge

Three loud cheers to celebrate Simon Firth’s achievement. He committed to visit five churches on his scooter on Ride & Stride Saturday, to raise money in support of St Peters Church Codford and Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust.

And great heavens - he did it, in a little over 3 hours! He must have fairly scooted along the lanes to achieve that time. He looked a little weary when he arrived home, but gave a cheerful ‘thumbs up’ as he turned into his driveway. I was fortunately on hand to record his arrival at Codford St Peter, the final church on his circuit.

A magnificent achievement, Simon – well done - and thank you.
