Codford Bell ringers are a band whose home tower is Codford St Peter Church.   Our bell ringing members are drawn from several churches in the Upper Wylye Valley, and we are known to ring in several local churches, including Sutton Veny, Boyton, Heytesbury and Norton Bavant, for church services and weddings, so we might be said to be a Valley Band - ‘Have ringers, will travel’.

To secure the future of bell ringing in the valley we need more recruits.  It would be wonderful to train some newcomers, drawn from any of the villages; it’s a skill which once learned is never forgotten, and one which will gain you a welcome at any tower in the land.

The commitment, once you’ve been taught, is to attend practices regularly and be willing to join in a team activity.  Plus a drink in the pub afterwards sometimes!
